I am a fan of Steve Tyrell and his stuff is always good. His voice is wonderful. The CD is good, not great, I listen to others more often. I recommend the CD but others by Tyrell are better.
Steve is a great singer. I just caught his show at THE CARLYLE in NYC, he is amazing on stage. His new cd on BACHARACH/DAVID tunes is coming out in '08.
My wife's favorite is "You'd be so Nice to Come Home to" while mine is "That's All."How much do we like listening to Steve. Steve Tyrell is simply the best and "This Guy's in Love" is his best CD. If you are a romantic and if you love the standards, then you will love this CD. We own 4 of Steve's CDs and we own 3 of them twice as they are in both of our cars, as well as on my PC. We saw him twice last year and hope to see him again soon.
Steve Tyrell's voice is husky but soft, the songs on this CD are a perfect fit. Romantic and sexy. Great music for long drives, sitting by the fireplace, dinner with wine. Gives you a sentimental feeling.
Last summer, I listened to this cd every night with a glass of wine while making dinner. The music is great for parties too. Many people didn't know who Steve was until they came to my house. If you want to play something orginal and soothing, this is it.
